How many of you would give someone a gift for Christmas or for a birthday, and demand the gift back weeks later? Not many I hope. It is an unspoken rule that once you give someone something, you can't just take it back...it's theirs! How many times do we break this rule though when it comes to God?
For those who claim to have given your lives to Christ, why is it do often we want parts of it back? Whether it be parts of life that involve career, intimate relationships, or certain creature comforts, giving one's life to Christ definitely includes these areas. How many of us have yet to give our FULL lives over to Christ? What is stopping you or holding you back from giving it all up?
And for those of you who might be wondering why one might consider giving ones life to Jesus, I implore you to read about and investigate who Jesus is and what his life and teachings were about, and determine for yourself if it is good and worth it!
So is this life yours, or Christ's? Just some food for thought..
